Integral Process Analytical System Control

Follow these basic steps to control the devices in an Integral Process Analytical System:

  1. In Chromeleon, create Programs using the Program Wizard (see Control  The Program Wizard). The wizard ensures that commands and parameters entered in the program use the correct syntax and are in the correct order. The wizard is especially helpful for entering commands to control the solenoid valves used for sample preparation.

  2. In Chromeleon PA Analyzer, create sequences in which you specify the programs created in Chromeleon. Chromeleon PA Analyzer oversees control of the Integral system. Refer to Chromeleon PA Analyzer Help for details about how to create and run sequences for an Integral system.

Program Examples

Chromeleon PA provides example program files, which you can use as starting points for your programs. Because every program is created for a specific system and application, the examples will not work "as is" with your system, but the principles behind the types of commands included and the order in which they are listed can be applied to many systems. Refer to Setting Up Chromeleon PA (Document No. 065262) for detailed descriptions of the example programs.

The example programs are included in the CM-PA Example datasource on the Chromeleon PA installation disk. To connect to the datasource and view the examples, insert the disk in the drive, go to the Chromeleon Browser, and select File>Mount Datasource>Browse.
